Overview

Snap to AI is a macOS utility that captures screenshots and sends them to Claude. Privacy is a core design principle — we collect as little as possible and store nothing ourselves.

What we collect

Snap to AI does not collect, transmit, or store your screenshots, personal data, or usage information on any server we operate. Screenshots you capture are sent directly from your device to Anthropic's Claude API and are subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

Third-party services

Snap to AI interacts with the following third-party services:

• Claude (Anthropic) — receives the screenshots you choose to send. Governed by Anthropic's terms and privacy policy.
• Gumroad — used for payment processing and license delivery. Snap to AI does not receive your payment details.

Local data

Snap to AI may store your Claude API key and app preferences locally on your device using macOS Keychain and standard user defaults. This data never leaves your machine and is not accessible to us.

Analytics and crash reporting

Snap to AI does not include any analytics SDKs or crash reporting services. We do not track usage, sessions, or feature interactions.

Screen recording permission

Snap to AI requires Screen Recording permission on macOS to capture screenshots. This permission is used solely to take screenshots on your command and for no other purpose.
